- Posthumously Sean Costello has been nominated for two 2009 BMA (W.C. Handy Awards) for Best Contemporary Album and Best Contemporary Male Blues Artist. In 2001 Sean was nominated for Best New Artist Debut for his album "Cuttin In" and was featured as the lead guitarist on the 2008 nominated Best Traditional Blues Album by Nappy Brown "Long Time Coming".
