Sean
Costello's talent as a singer and guitarist has been recognized
over and over again by the blues community. Posthumously
he was nominated for two 2009 Blues Music Awards (BMA's);
Best Contemporary Album and Best Contemporary Male Blues
Artist. Previously he was featured as the lead guitarist
on the 2008 BMA nominated Best Traditional Blues Album
by Nappy Brown "Long Time Coming", and in 2001
his album "Cuttin In" was nominated for the
W.C. Handy Award - Best New Artist Debut.
On
May 3, 2008, Sean Costello's album "We Can Get Together"
entered the Billboard charts at the number 10 position.
Sean's
family started a foundation in his memory, the Sean Costello
Memorial Fund for Bi-Polar Research. More information

April 15, 2008, one day before his 29th birthday, Sean
Costello went home to God.
